The 2025 Little Soul Rose of Pinot Noir is crafted from grapes harvested from the regenerative organic vineyard where we both farm and reside, situated in the Adelaida District of west Paso Robles, California.
This wine’s aromas are reminiscent of the first days of summer with kiwi, wild strawberry and feijoa. The palate is bright and silky with flavors of tropical fruits and raspberry coulis, with a seamless acidity that leads to a long, elegant finish.
I crafted this Rose through skin contact using pigeage (or foot stomping), reminiscent of the iconic "I Love Lucy" scene. The grape juice remained in contact with the clusters for around 18 hours before pressing the next day. While extended skin contact is not a conventional method for Rose production, I have discovered that it enriches the natural, delightful aromas, and flavors derived from the fruit.
